DeLand Woman Dies Trying to Cross Volusia County Street

Zephyrhills, FL (August 13, 2019) - A Zephyrhills man was killed when his motorcycle was involved in a crash with another vehicle on US-301. The incident took place on Sunday, August 11th around 6:20 p.m.
According to police, 24-year-old Nathaniel Eli Hansen was riding a 2018 Honda motorcycle southbound on the highway when a 2010 Chevrolet pickup truck turned into its path. The pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Bailey Hill Road when the crash took place. The motorcycle struck a utility trailer being towed by the truck and Hansen was thrown from the bike following impact. He was then rushed to Tampa General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the truck has not been identified at this time.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and charges are pending at this time.

Eight people were hurt, including six children when a bus and pickup truck collided in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday, November 7th. According to Fort Lauderdale Fire Department Spokesman Stephen Gollan, the crash happened around 6:00 pm at the intersection of Northwest 19th Street and Northwest 15th Avenue. The bus was transporting elementary school children home when the crash occurred. There is no information on exactly how the accident took place. Six people were taken to Broward Health Medical Center while two others were sent to Plantation General Hospital. At least one adult and one child suffered serious injuries. Read more
