Some Helpful Q&A's
Q

What to do after a traffic accident?

A

Moments After the Impact

Safety is the number one priority after an accident.

  • Are you and your passengers okay?
  • Contact the police and call for an ambulance if necessary
  • Is your car in a safe location? If not, can it be safely moved to a better location?
  • Check to see if others need help
  • Do not talk to anyone about the accident other than emergency personnel
  • Never accept blame or fault for the accident
  • You may be unaware of all factors that contributed to the accident (did a tire blowout, was the driver of the other car texting etc…)

Q

Who pays for my doctors? Will I owe money to my doctors at the end of my case?

A

Your health insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid may pay for some or all of your medical bills. If you were in a car accident, PIP insurance may also pay some of your bills (see section C for additional information). If you have any bills left over, Rubenstein Law will do our best to negotiate a reduced percentage of the remaining bills so that they can be paid with a part of your settlement. If we accomplish that, you will not owe your doctors money. Although we can make no guarantee, we have been very successful in favorably resolving our client’s unpaid medical bills.
