  • Palm River, FL - Tampa Woman Killed in Two-Car Crash on U.S. 41

    A woman from Tampa was killed and another woman suffered critical injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Palm River on Sunday morning. The accident occurred just before 7:00 a.m. along U.S. Highway 41 near Old U.S. 41. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to a report from troopers, a 20-year-old Tampa woman was driving the wrong way on U.S. 41 when she collided head-on with a second vehicle driven by a 21-year-old woman from Tampa. The 20-year-old woman died at the crash scene while the 21-year-old was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries.   • New Port Richey, FL - One Killed on Hurt in Crash on SR 54

    A man from Brooksville died and another was seriously hurt following a crash on State Road 54 in New Port Richey. The collision was reported around 2:30 p.m. along State Road 54 near the intersection with Old Mill Pond Drive. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 34-year-old Brooksville man was traveling westbound in a pickup truck on SR 54. As he approached Old Mill Pond, the truck crossed the centerline and entered the path of a second truck operated by a 67-year-old man from Trinity. The two vehicles collided with one another and both came to rest in the eastbound lanes of SR 54. The Brooksville man sustained critical injuries and died at the scene while the man from Trinity was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Neither of the victims were identified. Read More
