Sofia Jordi
About
Sofia Jordi was born and raised in Miami, Florida, the youngest child of Cuban Immigrants. Since a very young age, she has wanted to be of service to others and to her community.
Sofia obtained her B.A. in English Literature and Communications from Florida State University in 2012. She went on to earn her J.D. from University of Miami School of Law in 2016. While at UM Law, she was a member of the Race and Social Justice Law Review, the Children and Youth Law Clinic, the Federal Appellate Clinic, and the Litigation Skills Program. At UM Law, Sofia was able to see clearly how she could channel her strengths as a writer and persuasive speaker into being a voice for others.
After graduation, Sofia went on to work as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami for six years. During her time as an APD, she took hundreds of depositions and represented clients in over 40 trials to verdict. It was there that Sofia sharpened her skills as an advocate and a trial attorney. She worked her way up through the years and ultimately represented clients facing the most serious charges. Prior to leaving the office, Sofia acted as a training attorney, passing her knowledge of trial advocacy on to new attorneys. She now proudly brings that same passion to Rubenstein Law, representing those who have suffered injury due to someone else’s negligence.
In her free time, Sofia enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys, exercising, and reading.
