Sofia Jordi

Personal Injury Attorney

About Me

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, the youngest child of Cuban Immigrants. Since a very young age, I have wanted to be of service to others and to my community.

I obtained my B.A. in English Literature and Communications from Florida State University in 2012. I went on to earn my J.D. from University of Miami School of Law in 2016. While at UM Law, I was a member of the Race and Social Justice Law Review, the Children and Youth Law Clinic, the Federal Appellate Clinic, and the Litigation Skills Program. At UM Law, I was able to see clearly how I could channel my strengths as a writer and persuasive speaker into being a voice for others.

After graduation, I went on to work as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami for six years. During my time as an APD, I took hundreds of depositions and represented clients in over 40 trials to verdict. It was there that I sharpened my skills as an advocate and a trial attorney. I worked my way up through the years and ultimately represented clients facing the most serious charges. Prior to leaving the office, I acted as a training attorney, passing my knowledge of trial advocacy on to new attorneys. I now proudly bring that same passion to Rubenstein Law, representing those who have suffered injury due to someone else’s negligence.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two young boys, exercising, and reading.
