Evan Abel - Trucking

Initial Offer: $25,000 | Final Result: $750,000

This was a global resolution of $750,000. Client was leaving work on a lunch break when he collided with an intermodal chassis and container that was parked on the shoulder of the road. We brought suit against the company that parked the trailer at the location of the collision as well as the owner of the chassis based on a theory of negligent maintenance. We leveraged industry standards regarding "on the shoulder" also known as "sitting duck" trucking negligence cases against the company that parked the trailer on the shoulder of the road and insufficient conspicuity tape on the rear of the chassis with respect to the owner.
