Six bus passengers were injured in a collision in Southwest Miami-Dade on Sunday, December 9th. The event took place just before 5:45 pm near Southwest 246th Street. Two Miami-Dade police cruisers were traveling on the Busway at the time of the accident. One of the cruisers was traveling southbound with its lights on and came upon a second cruiser traveling eastbound, also with its lights on. Lake Buena Vista, FL - Man Gets Arm Stuck in Conveyor Belt at Typhoon Lagoon

A man was sent to the hospital on Sunday, December 9th after he got his arm stuck in a conveyor belt at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. The Orange County Sheriff's Office was called to the 1100 block of Buena Vista Drive around 1:00 pm in reference to the event. Deputies say that the man was visiting the Miss Adventures Falls attraction when his arm became stuck in the belt. It was not immediately clear what caused the incident to occur. Officials from Reedy Creek Fire Rescue were also called to the scene and were able to free the man's arm from the belt. He was later airlifted to Osceola Regional Medical Center for treatment. Jacksonville, FL - Sheriff’s Office Employee Killed in DUI Crash

A Jacksonville Sheriff's Office bailiff was killed in a crash involving a drunk driver over the weekend. The crash took place around 1:15 am on Sunday, December 9th. The Florida Highway Patrol says that 46-year-old Kim Johnston was driving an Acura in the northbound lanes of I-95 when she collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe. The Tahoe was carrying a family of four including Cathy Adams. The impact of the collision caused the SUV to lose control and overturn after veering across several travel lanes. Cathy Adams suffered critical injuries in the crash and was rushed to the hospital. Adams was put on life support at a local hospital and later succumbed to her injuries. Brevard County, FL - James Newman Struck and Killed While Crossing US 1

A 54-year-old man from West Melbourne was struck and killed by a vehicle while attempting to cross US 1 on Saturday, December 8th. Investigators say that James Newman was crossing the street in an eastbound direction around 7:05 pm when the accident took place. Newman was struck by the front of a passing vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. He was not in a crosswalk or other marked area when he was hit. Pasco County, FL - Passenger Killed in SUV Crash

A man from Land O'Lakes was killed in a collision on Saturday, December 8th. The crash happened around 2:18 am on Chancy Road, near Foxwood Boulevard. The Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched to the accident. Once on scene, troopers discovered an SUV driven by 32-year-old Carolina Canon ran off the road and hit a tree. Cannon's passenger, 35-year-old Jose Luis Jimenez, was critically hurt in the crash. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where he later died. Canon received minor injuries. Read More

A 34-year-old man died in a Miami Gardens hit-and-run on Saturday, December 8th. According to reports, Akeem Jamal Cromer was walking in the area of Northwest 38th Court and 158th Street sometime after midnight when the crash took place. Cromer was left in the roadway and his body was discovered by a neighbor around 6:00 am. Based on witness statements, a loud noise was heard in the area around 3:30 am. Sharon Louise Kelchner, 70, was killed in a Lee County pedestrian crash on Friday, December 7th. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Kelchner was walking to a park with her granddaughter when the incident occurred. Witnesses at the scene reported that Kelchner's granddaughter had walked ahead of her and Kelchner was attempting to catch up when she was struck by the car on Three Oaks Parkway. A 57-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian crash on Seminole Boulevard. According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened around 7:00 pm on Friday, December 7th. Felicia Jean Wilkerson of St. Petersburg was crossing Seminole Boulevard when she was struck by a 2001 Honda CRV near 61st Avenue North. According to reports, Wilkerson was not walking in a crosswalk or other marked area when she was struck. The lighting in the area was dim at the time. A woman from Fort Lauderdale died after she was run over by several vehicles on Interstate 95. The incident took place on Friday, December 7th. According to Lt. Alvaro Feola of the Florida Highway Patrol, 33-year-old Jennifer Amy St. Clair was lying on Interstate 95, near Atlantic Boulevard, around 2:00 am on Friday.
